When Erica Hughes discovered the incredible fat-stripping effects of the Slendier range, she wanted to shout it to the world. So that’s exactly what she did. The corporate executive quit her job, took the reins of the Australian company and introduced the wonder food to more than 20 countries.
“The first thing we noticed was that people who ate Slendier as a replacement for rice and pasta lost weight and kept it off, without feeling hungry or like they were missing out,” says Erica.
“Then we saw it had broader appeal with people who were managing health-related issues, like diabetes, and those who required specialised eating plans – FODMAP, gluten free or vegan.”
The secret to Slendier’s success is its main ingredient, konjac. The ancient Asian plant contains large amounts of a soluble fibre called glucomannan, which moves slowly through the digestive tract, leaving people feeling fuller for longer.
Best of all, it’s low in calories and carbohydrates, and contains no fat or sugar, meaning you can cave into your cravings for delectable dishes without the guilt.
Slendier products are gluten and dairy free and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. All of our products are subjected to regular laboratory testing.
Our gluten levels are <20ppm, which is suitable as per the Codex standard for gluten.
Our range is also great for diabetics, weight loss, and for those who just generally want to live a healthier everyday life and eat yummy food!

The products in our konjac range are all Kosher certified under the KOF-K Supervision.
Slendier products are quick to cook and recommended to eat fresh for optimum taste and enjoyment. Once opened, our products will keep for 1-3 days if properly sealed and refrigerated. Our bean pastas can be stored in a container in the pantry for two years if uncooked.
We don’t recommend freezing the konjac range because konjac flour has a high water content. This means that while Slendier products do freeze easily, they tend to go mushy when thawing.

Our original product was sourced from Japan, but is no longer able to be imported anymore following the 2011 tsunami. So now we source and make the majority of our products in China, where the climate and conditions are similar.
China is the biggest konjac producer in the world – its geology and climate are ideal for konjac crops to grow in. Unfortunately, konjac is not able to be grown in Australia and many other countries because of climate factors.
Our pasta sauces (including the sauces in our Ready to Eat meals) are made in Italy.
We accept returns for faulty Slendier goods returned in original packaging and condition within 14 days or purchase (excluding postage & handling). We do not accept returns for change of mind.
This only applies to products purchased through the Slendier website. For full terms & conditions please visit: www.slendier.com/terms-of-use
