  • 1 packet Slendier Rice Style
  • 1 cup spelt flakes
  • 1 cup barley flakes
  • ½ cup quinoa
  • ½ cup brown flaxseeds
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup sultanas
  • 2 tbs maple syrup, plus extra to serve
  • ½ punnet fresh blueberries
  • toasted flaked almonds, to serve


  1. Prepare the Slendier Rice Style according to the directions on the packet. Drain and chop roughly. Set aside until needed.
  2. Place the spelt, barley, quinoa, flaxseeds, ½ cup water, almond milk, sultanas and maple syrup into a non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the liquid is absorbed, and the grains are soft, about 8 to 10 minutes. Add a little more water and almond milk if required.
  3. Once cooked and liquid is absorbed, add the chopped Rice Style and stir to combine.
  4. Spoon warm porridge into serving bowls. Top with fresh blueberries and flaked almonds. Drizzle with a little extra maple syrup and serve.
