Do you find yourself getting to the end of the week only to throw out your leftover rice, spaghetti and a bunch of uneaten fruit and veg from the fridge? While most of our recipes use a whole packet of Slendier, we’ve come up with some creative ideas for using any leftovers in case you find yourself with some after a cook up. Remember to always pack leftovers for lunch the next day to cut down on waste too!

If you have leftover Slendier Rice Style:

  • Use as the base for fried rice or risotto
  • Prepare arancini balls
  • Add it to a salad
  • Create a poké bowl 

Leftover Slendier Angel Hair or Noodle Style:

  • Add to an Asian inspired salad such as Thai Beef
  • Use it in rice paper rolls
  • Create a noodle soup; add stock, your choice of protein, spring onions and greens such as Bok Choy

Leftover Bean Pasta or konjac Spaghetti and Fettuccine:

  • Use in a stir fry
  • Create a pasta bake
  • Make a tuna pasta salad

Leftover Slendier Pasta Sauces:

  • Use as the base for a pizza
  • Make a minestrone soup
  • Add as a base for your breakfast; think Shakshuka or baked beans

Leftover vegetables:

  • Create a frittata or fritters, simply add egg
  • Grate vegetables and add to a beef or chicken patty, place in lettuce cup or burger bun
  • Make a soup. Cook garlic and onion, add roasted vegetables, herbs/spices and stock, bring to the boil, then blend
  • Create a stew by adding your vegetables to slow cooked beef and stock
  • Vegetables like zucchini, carrot and pumpkin can be grated and added into healthy breakfast muffins
  • You can use the vegetable scraps to make stock. Keep a zip lock bag in the freezer and add the ends of zucchini, carrot peel, ends of onion, tomato cores, stems of herbs etc. and when the bag is full, defrost the contents, place it into a pot and add water to cover. Simmer for two hours and strain
  • Leftover vegetables can be blended to create a green juice

Slendier is best used within three days of opening, so make the most of our tips and techniques. Freezing isn’t recommended.
